For thousands of years, the gods of ancient Egypt were not only figures of worship but also archetypes representing the many faces of human nature. Sun-carrying Ra stands for leadership and creative power; Isis, mother of magic, for compassion and loyalty; Thoth, god of wisdom, for intellect and curiosity; and Anubis, guardian of the afterlife, for honor and duty.
The joyful cat goddess Bastet embodies freedom and warmth; the falcon-headed Horus, justice and courage; the love goddess Hathor, beauty and creativity; and the lion-headed Sekhmet, passion and strength. None is 'better' than another — every god has both a bright power and a shadow side, just like us.
The Egyptians thought of these gods together as the keepers of the balance of the universe (ma'at); their different powers completed one another. Whichever god you got, it reflects your most dominant side — but you carry traces of the others within you, too.
Note: This quiz is just for fun. Your result is a lighthearted, myth-inspired bit of self-reflection — not a real personality analysis or a statement of belief.
